Before applying the
product the surface has to be prepared properly. It
should be dry and free from loose paint and rust, moisture,
oily substance, debris etc. Stir the product in the
container before use and apply the product in a well
ventilated area or an open area. Temperature between
50°F (10°C) and 80°F (27°C) and a humidity
level of not more than 90% is ideal for applying the
Product.
The
paint can be applied with the help of a brush, roll
on or can be spray painted on the metal surface. The
coating should be of 2 to 3 mils of dry film thickness
and at least 2 coats of the paint are preferred to get
best results a total dft of 6 mils. An example is: (a
sheet of normal copy paper is about 4 mils thick). The
cure time is around 72 hours while the drying time in
between coats for the BlackShell™ is around 6
